The Strata Corporation already provides free filters twice a year (usually January and July) but in order to ensure that your system is running at peak performance we suggest you have the system thoroughly serviced annually, either at the start of the heating season or the start of the cooling season.
Here is what is included in the service:
1) a complete record of the service that is attached to your unit along with the other At Your Service Program information. It includes the make and model, serial number and electrical operating parameters.
2) There is then 5 general service items: replace the filter; check the drain pan for leaks; check the fan operation; check the Compressor for excess heat, noise or vibration; remove and clean pressure reducing valve.
3) then we measure the operating parameters of the unit (heating and cooling; temperature in and out calculating the differential, and then
4) the technician leaves their comments and whether the unit passes/fails based on the examination.
Please note that we maintain these records on your behalf regardless of who does the testing so that the service history is also evaluated to determine if there has been significant degradation to suggest service elements (like charging the compressor with refrigerant) before more costly repairs are required.
